A natural pet skin solution

This is Jess, my eldest furry pooch

Do you have a pooch with skin issues? Have you tried everything and nothing works? We all know how good coconut oil[1] is for human skin, both taken internally and also rubbed on externally, and your pets are no different …. but …. there’s a right way and a wrong way to get them to eat it.

  1. Introduce it slowly. Why? Coconut oil can kill bacteria, viruses, parasites, yeast and fungi, and many of these can release a poison as a detox effect as they’re killed off. Too much too quickly will make you pooch tired, give them headaches and diarrhea (or greasy stool).
  2. Introduce it with solid foods and not on its own
  3. Bake it in to doggy treat biscuits

If using coconut oil topically, since dogs and cats like the taste of coconut oil, if you use it on a rash, wound or dry skin, you will need to cover it up as they will lick it off (or put one of those plastic bucket collars on them).
